USA’s 2017 World Long Jump Silver Medalist Jarrion Lawson Facing 4-Year Drug Ban After Testing Positive For The Banned Steroid Trenbolone Lawson vehemently maintains his innocence saying the failed drug test was from eating contaminated meat. The low level of trenbolone in his sample and the evidence he provided from the restaurant seem to be consistent with this. Ajee Wilson and Will Claye have both been cleared by USADA in cases involving contaminated beef, but the AIU is being more strict with Lawson.

WADA Publishes Stakeholder Notice Regarding Clenbuterol Meat Contamination WADA is amending their code to allow valid meat contamination cases to be dealt with fairly and allow athletes to avoid DQs. Unfortunately for Jarrion Lawson, this rule change concerns clenbuterol, not trenbolone.

Now competing and living as CeCe Telfer, she is the NCAA DII women’s national 400-meter hurdles champion.
