LRC DMR Madness: Colorado Goes From 9th to First to Win Women’s DMR, Ole Miss Gets Title #1 a Little More Easily Colorado got its first NCAA DMR title thanks to a crazy anchor from Dani Jones, and Ole Miss got a program defining win.

LRC Karissa Schweizer And Edward Cheserek Win NCAA 5,000m Titles In Convincing Fashion Karissa Schweizer had to deal with front runners Anna Rohrer and Erin Finn but had too much left in the tank. Cheserek completed step one in the individual triple.
*Cheserek’s 5000 Win Was His 16th NCAA Title (14 ind.) That’s a record but he’ll get the real record (most individual titles) Saturday.

LRC NCAA Punishes Coach and Athlete … For Knowing And Following The Rules – Nation’s 10th-Fastest 5,000 Runner Barred From NCAA Meet The NCAA is famous at times for being a stickler to obscure rules. Well, now it’s punishing a collegiate coach and his athlete because he both a) knew and b) followed the rules. Brilliant. As a result, the nation’s 10th fastest 5,000 runner, Loyola Marymount’s Danielle Shanahan (15:52 PR), won’t be competing at NCAAs.
