Worldwide Study Finds Today’s Kids Are Way Less Fit And Running Way Slower Than Their Parents Study analyzing records going back to 1964 finds that on average kids are running 1:30 slower in a one mile run than children 30 years ago. The results are attributed to increased body fat and lack of cardiovascular fitness.
