Tracy Lokken Runs 2:24:44 To Win 2011 US Men's Masters Marathon Title, Sheri Piers Runs 2:37:42 To Win Women's

Tracy Lokken (Marquette, Mich.) ran 2:24:44 to win his second career USA Masters Marathon title, finishing 21st overall. Malcolm Campbell (Marietta, Ga.) ran 2:25:58 to finish second and Tony Torres (Cedar Glen, Calif.) took third in 2:27:08. In the women's race, Sheri Piers (Falmouth, Maine) finished eighth overall, running an Olympic Trials "A" qualifying time 2:37:42 to claim the masters title. Susan Empey (Mercer Island, Wash.) and Shannon McHale (West Simsbury, Conn.) took second and third in the masters race running Olympic Trials "B" qualifying times of 2:45:27 and 2:45:48 respectively. The USA Masters Marathon Championships featured $55,000 in prize money with Lokken and Piers earning $7,500 each.
