Reporting to the Director of the Wirefly National Marathon, interns would be primarily responsible for supporting day to day activities of the Greater Washington Sports Alliance’s development, marketing, communications and event departments.   

      Candidates should be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), be detail oriented and able to work in a very fast paced environment. Additionally, candidates should also be creative, adhere to deadlines, have excellent verbal and written skills, and be willing to work shifts during our expo tour of some of the country’s biggest road races.  

A background and knowledge of sports, particularly long distance running is recommended, but is not necessary.  This is not a paid position but the internship can be used for college credit. Timing is August to December.
