The organizers of the 27th Fortis Marathon Rotterdam announced today that three men who had broken the 2:07:00 barrier in the marathon had agreed to participate in their event on Sunday, April 15.

William Kipsang, with a personal best of 2:06:39 set in Amsterdam in 2003, Wilson Onsare (2:06:47, Paris, 2003) and Charles Kibiwott (2:06:52, Rotterdam, 2006), all of Kenya, were announced today.

All three athletes struggled in the last marathons.  Kipsang finished seventh at the ING New York City Marathon last November in 2:11:54; Onsare was 21st at the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon last October in 2:16:12; and Kibiwott finished 13th at Chicago in 2:15:00.

The Rotterdam organizers also announced that both Kipsang and Onsare would test their fitness at the City-Pier-City Half-Marathon in the Hague on March 17.
