The 2007 Foot Locker XC Prediction Contest featured big time upsets.

Hard to believe that national championship wins by the Midwest Champ, Michael Fout, and the most dominant runner in the early season, Ashley Brasovan, were big time upsets but they were.

Only 5 people in the entire contest picked Brasovan to win and only 4 people picked Fout.

The upsets didn't faze the champions in our contest.

Chris Hough, a 20 year old from Panama City, Florida, was our champ and rightfully so. He picked the girls' winner correctly and his top 7 girls picks all finished in the top 8. On the men's side, he picked 8 of the top 10 and all of his top 10 picks were in the top 13. Pretty impressive. (His picks here)

Chris got into the sport of running through his dad who has a 14:50 5k pr. Chris currently has a 16:10 5k pr and is aiming for his dad's pr. Chris being from Florida was aware of the prowess of Brasovan, but his other picks show he knows the sport pretty well. (His picks here)

Phil Mitchell who runs for Appalachian State was our runner up. His teammate from Florida told him Brasovan would win, but the rest of his picks were pretty good. 8 of the top 10 on the women's side, and 7 of the top 10 on the men's side.

Both Chris and Phil win Eastbay gift cards (which are 20% off through the end of the year)
