Women's Mile Shaping up for 2007 Reebok Boston Indoor Games By David Monti (c) 2007 Race Results Weekly, all rights reserved January 18, 2007 Meet director Mark Wetmore is still hard at work recruiting for the Reebok Boston Indoor Games scheduled for Saturday, January 27, at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center, and he's established a strong core of athletes in the women's mile. Sarah Jamieson, last year's Commonwealth Games silver medalist, will bring her 4:00.93 1500m speed to the 200m banked track in Boston. Jamieson had an excellent season last year, winning the Australian 1500m title and consistently bringing her 1500m times down until she flirted with sub-4:00 at the DN Galan meeting in Stockhom.. She also ran a swift 15:02.90 "moonlighting" in the 5000m. Her personal best for the mile is 4:29.15 set in Melbourne last February. Americans Shayne Culpepper and Sara Hall will also be competing in the mile at Boston. Culpepper, who won the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials in a sprint finish, has a 4:06.33 1500m career best. Hall won the Continental Airlines Fifth Avenue Mile last year and has a track best of 4:14.83 for 1500m. The meet record for the women's mile is 4:29.52 by Canadian Carmen Douma-Hussar set last year.
