LetsRun.com Investigative Exclusive:
Galloway Didn't Walk at Trials
by: LetsRun.com

LetsRun.com has learned through various exclusive sources that Jeff Galloway famous for spreading the marathon to the masses with his training programs that incorporate walking breaks, actually ran the entire 10,000m in 1972 at the Olympic Trials where he made the Olympic Team

The revelations have shocked the running or should we say walking community that Jeff is the figurehead.

When confronted at his home in Atlanta, Georgia, a tearful Mr. Galloway confessed his transgressions as he read from a prepared statement "Yes, it is true, that I ran the entire 10,000 meters to make the Olympic Team in 1972.  Believe it or not, running from point A to point B nonstop is the fastest way to cover the distance on foot. I apologize for misleading so many people."

Various scientific experts contacted around the globe confirmed that new groundbreaking research has proven that running is indeed the fastest way to get from point A to point B on foot.

But many of Jeff's former followers were shocked by Jeff's confession and refused to believe what he said or the new scientific research.

"I just don't believe Jeff is telling the truth.  He must just be saying this to make or buck or two.  I think he's selling out to the running community.  I wasn't there for the 72 Olympic Trials, but I did see Jeff set his 10 mile American record (47:49) in 1973, and I'm positive I saw him walk right after he crossed the finish line."- said an unidentified Gallowalker disciple.
