Both fields are very deep as sthe men's side has Jake Robertson, Stanley Biwott, Stephen Sambu, Chris Derrick, Callum Hawkins, Shadrack Biwott, Lopez Lomong and more. The women are lead by 65:07 half-marathoner Caroline Kipkirui, NYC Half champ Buze Dirba, Emily Sisson and Gwen Jorgensen.

Biwott beat out Mexican Olympian Daniel Vargas by 14-seconds while Linden won by over 3-minutes.

The fix most certainly doesn't appear to be in in Chicago. If Galen Rupp wins his first major on Sunday, he'll almost most certainly have had to earn it.

Good news, Galen Rupp and US women's marathon fans - it just got a lot easier to medal in Rio as Athletics Kenya picked a 2:24 woman and a man who is about to celebrate the 2-year anniversary of his last sub-2:10 clocking (May 25th) to the Olympic team. Stars like Edna Kiplagat and Mary Keitany will be sitting at home. Updated with new stats for Dickson Chumba and Bernard Kipyego and the fact that Wilson Kipsang didn't want to go to Rio.

NYC champ Stanley Biwott ran 2:03:51 but had to settle for second behind Kipchoge, who produced one of the greatest marathon performances in history. Kenenisa Bekele, racing his first marathon in 15 months, was third in 2:06:36.

London is loaded once again as World #1 Kipchoge goes up against a stacked field that includes the past two world record holders (Kimetto and Kipsang), world champ Ghirmay Ghebreslassie, NYC champ Biwott and the great Kenenisa Bekele. It also has huge Olympic qualifying implications for Kenya + Great Britain. Set your alarms. This one is worth getting up for (5:00 a.m. ET start on Sunday).

Doping Dominates Conversation At London Marathon Press Conference Wilson Kipsang: "Doping or cheating is a problem, it's a crime.  That doesn't mean that the whole sport (is a problem). All the guys (Dennis Kimetto, Eliud Kipchoge and Stanley Biwott), we've been tested 7 or 8 times."

The 2016 London men's field very well may be tougher to win than the Olympics. It is totally loaded once again as it includes the world's best marathoner, the world champ, the world record holder and a whole lot more. Surprisingly, it will mark the return to the marathon for Kenenisa Bekele and the debut of Bedan Karoki.

Who deserved the #1 US ranking took some thought as Ritz beat Meb in Boston and Luke Puskedra had the highest WMM finish of any American (5th) and fastest time of the year as well (2:10:24).
