It only took Lavillenie two jumps to wrap up pole vault gold, but that didn't stop him from entertaining the Portland crowd with a new meet record and three thrilling attempts at the the world record. On the women's side, it was an all-American battle for gold as Suhr and Sandi Morris went 1-2.

True ran 13:06 to seal the deal for worlds with Jenkins right behind him in a huge PR. Abbey D’Agostino PRd at 5000 as did Johnson to punch her ticket to worlds in the 1500. Full Results From Lucerne, Switzerland: Lopez Lomong Takes Down Bernard Lagat In 3000 As Five Women Go Sub-2 In The 800

Lomong got the win in 7:42.19 to Lagat's 7:42.75. Andy Bayer was 6th (7:48.49). Switzerland's Selina Buchel took the 800 in 1:59.21, beating Chanelle Price by .03.
