After a 2:18:57 CR in Boston in April, a win by Jeptoo would give her the best two-year run since Paula Radcliffe set two WRs and won three majors from 2002-2003., but it will be far from easy as marathon world record holder Florence Kiplagat and 2:19:52 woman Mare Dibaba will both try to beat Jeptoo to the finish line in Grant Park. The American contingent is led by Olympian Amy Hastings and Clara Santucci, who won the Pittsburgh Marathon in May, as Lisa Uhl looks to try to start the resurrection of her career.

Don't be uneducated when you watch Monday's Boston Marathon. We break down the international portion of the field. Rita Jeptoo headlines three returning champs in the field, we've also got an LRC fan, and a Dibaba. The ridiculously deep fields include 11 men who have gone under 60-minutes and 7-women who have ran under 68:00. Men's side includes Bernard Koech (58:41), Stanley Biwott (58:56), Chicago Marathon champ Dennis Kimetto, former Half-Marathon World champ Wilson Kiprop and  2011 10,000m World champ Ibrahim Jelian. On the women's side there is London/NYC Marathon champ Priscah Jeptoo, Boston champ Rita Jeptoo and former 10K World champ Linet Masai making her half debut.

Ritz Jeptoo crushed the back half of the race to get the win and the first sub 2:20:00 clocking in 2013.
