Distance Recap: Edward Kemboi Rides The Rail To Victory In 800, Chad Noelle Kicks Best In 1,500 And Anthony Rotich Three-Peats In Steeple

Both the 800 (1:49.26) and 1,500 (3:54.96) had incredibly slow winning times due to wind on the backstretch, but that made for thrilling theater as everyone was still in contention with 200 to go in each race. As it did last year, the steeple came down to Rotich vs. Stanley Kebenei and Rotich once again prevailed by a narrow .38 margin.

2015 NCAA Outdoor Men's Mid-D/Steeple Preview: Cristian Soratos and Jordan Williamsz Lead A Wide-Open 1500; Anthony Rotich & Stanley Kebenei to Duel in Steeple; Will NCAA Champs Brandon McBride or Edward Kemboi Emerge In A Loaded Men's 800?

We're not sure if there will be drama in the 5 an 10ks but these races should more than make it up for it. The 800, where NCAA champs Brandon McBride and Edward Kemboi lead the way, is the deepest 800 in years at the NCAA level. Cristian Soratos vs. Jordan Williamsz is must-watch drama in the 1500 as is the Stanely Kebenei vs. Anthony Rotich battle in the steeple.

Revenge Of The Ducks! Mac Fleet Repeats As 1,500 Champion, Denies Lawi Lalang Historic Double

Lawi Lalang came within .04 seconds of being the first man to pull off the 1,500/5k double, but Oregon's Mac Fleet was too good and repeated as NCAA champion before the Oregon crowd.

Men's Mid-D/Steeple Preview: Mac Fleet And Anthony Rotich Look To Repeat; Indoor Champ Brandon McBride Favored In 800

Oregon's Mac Fleet is looking to become the first NCAA 1,500 repeat champ since Seneca Lassiter in 1998 but last year's 10,000 champ Lawi Lalang wants to end his storied NCAA career with yet a 1,500 crown. In the steeple and 800, Anthony Rotich and Brandon McBride want to continue winning.

The Meeting Of The Minds: Top NCAA Coaches Share Their Thoughts Ahead Of The 2014 NCAA Indoor Championships

The topics for discussion at the press conference were largely distance-based as the top coaches in the NCAA talked about racing at altitude, the men's DMR, and Lawi Lalang's triple (and whether Arizona could win the meet with just two guys). We also had a one-on-one conversation with Coach Franklin on his guys in the 5,000 and got an update on Princeton alum Peter Callahan.
