We look at the USA women's chances (very good with much of Europe giving up) and have interviews with Sarah Hall and Jen Rhines in China.

One of the busiest racing weekends of the year sees Ben True go for a three-peat at the 15K Champs while USA XC Laura Thweatt leads the women's field. In NYC, Molly Huddle faces Desiree Linden plus Sally Kipyego; Meb, Ritz and Teg take on Stephen Sambu and Juan Luis Barrios. Plus Jared Ward and the Halls run USA Marathon Champs as part of the LA Marathon on Sunday.

Neely Spence and Sara Hall tried to stay close but Thweatt was way too good.

With Abbey D'Agostino out due to injury, the biggest name in the field is 2012 champ Sara Hall. Katie Mackey and Laura Thweatt, #3 and #4, respectively, on the U.S. list at 5,000 last year have good shots to make the team; U.S. Half Marathon Champs runner-up Brianne Nelson (70:16) will also run.

Samson Gebreyohannes Gezaha won the overall race in 1:14:08 as US 10-Mile champ Landry ran 1:14:18 to tie Mo Trafeh's AR and take 2nd overall. Shadrack Biwott was 3rd overall (2nd American) in 1:14:31. Chris Solinsky was 3rd American and 5th overall (1:16:44).  Northern Arizona Elite's Johnson won in 1:25:26 over Dot McMahan and Mattie Suver.

Meb Keflezighi leads a men's half field that includes Aaron Braun, Luke Puskedra, Shadrack Biwott and Josphat Boit. The women are led by Adriana Nelson, Serena Burla, Sara Hall, Mattie Suver and Lisa Uhl. Defending champion Bazu Worku (2:05:25) leads the men's marathon field while Afework Bekele (2:23:59) leads the women.
