Gerry Lindgren‘s American indoor high school record had stood since 1964 and is finally gone thanks toDrew Hunter running 7:59.33 in a race won by the hotGarrett Heath. Matt Centrowitz won the mile and dabbed for Carolina fans as Shannon Rowbury got another win at the Camel City Elite meet.

2016 Camel City Elite Preview: Matt Centrowitz, Shannon Rowbury And Ashton Eaton Headline Fields As Indoor Season Heats Up

The first big US pro meet of the year takes place in Winston-Salem on Saturday afternoon and we'll be there to cover it for you. Centro and Rowbury will both be in the mile while Eaton and wife Brianne Theisen-Eaton tackle the 60m hurdles. Cas Loxsom (800), Brandon Johnson (800), Melissa Bishop (800), Stephanie Garcia (mile), Garrett Heath (3k), Lawi Lalang (3k) and Foot Locker champs Drew Hunter (3k) & Weini Kelati (3k) are also entered.

2015 LRC Year-End Rankings, Women's 1500: Genzebe Dibaba Reigns Supreme; Rowbury Nips Simpson for US #1

There was no doubt who was the world #1 this year as Genzebe Dibaba had the greatest season ever for a women's 1500 runner. The battle for US #1 was more interesting as both Shannon Rowbury and Jenny Simpson had strong years. *Jenny Simpson Says Her Rivalry With Shannon Rowbury Is Good For Both Them And The Sport, Is Disappointed Lost Shoe Cost Her Opportunity For Medal at Worlds Simpson: "I was in the shape of my life [at Worlds] and I was really ready for the big moment and they just didn’t come together this yea. Ultimately, the run in Beijing was a heartbreaker for me. I put other priorities aside and put them all lower down the priority list for the sake of doing well in Beijing, so it was a real disappointment to not be able to race to my fitness there."

KBC Nacht Meeting: Ben True Gets IAAF Standard As Eric Jenkins Explodes To A 13:07 And Lauren Johnson Destroys Her PR To Make Worlds On A Night Full Of Fast American Running

True ran 13:06 to seal the deal for worlds with Jenkins right behind him in a huge PR. Abbey D’Agostino PRd at 5000 as did Johnson to punch her ticket to worlds in the 1500. Other big names in action included Dejen Gebremeskel, Chris Derrick, Emily Sisson, Mary Cain, PVer Sandi Morris andLolo Jones. Check out how they did.
