Steve Magness Comments On Paula Radcliffe Blood Value Situation

"For someone who has been outspoken her whole career, it’s very disapointing that when the tables are turned she clams up. What this shows is it’s not about the sport at all, it’s about image. If it’s about the betterment of the sport, and you know the results will come out eventually, you don’t threaten lawsuits, you go with openness … It’s transparency at all times, not just when it’s convenient, that matters."

Paula Radcliffe “Categorically Denies” Cheating After She Was Implicated In Today’s Parliamentary Hearing On The Sunday Times/ARD Doping Report

"As a result of today’s Parliamentary Hearing I can no longer maintain my silence. The investigation by ARD and the Sunday Times may have been a perfectly valid enterprise if the goal was to expose cheats, their supporters, and, their infrastructures. Former WADA Vice President Professor Arne Ljungqvist Believes Allegations Against IAAF Are "Highly Unfair"

“The IAAF did more than others, before the others, but is now criticized by people, who have no insight into the work of IAAF, for not having done enough. Regrettably, I did not hear any criticism against the many sports and anti-doping organisations who have never implemented a robust blood testing programme as part of their anti-doping programme. This is highly unfair to the IAAF, an institution which should be regarded in high esteem for its countless efforts and investment, throughout its history, to tackle doping in athletics in the most efficient and intelligent way."
