USATF Colorado is going ahead with their rescheduled state 10k championships with 121 athletes signed up including 2:11 marathoner Fernando Cabada.

The men's race includes Aaron Braun, Andrew Lemoncello and Fernando Cabada while the women are lead by Kenya's defending champ Jane Kibii.

Women are lead by 2:29 marathoner Clara Santucci, former US marathon champ Esther Atkins and 2:32 woman Lindsey Scherf.

Rupp (2:11:12), Keflezighi (2:12:20) and Ward (2:13:00) is your team to Rio as Luke Puskedra (2:14:12) and Tyler Pennel (2:14:57) just miss out.

Meb, Ritz and Rupp will get plenty of attention this week, so we wanted to start our previews by focusing on the men who have a shot at the Olympic team if any of the Big 3 falter. In 2012, we only had a list of 6 outside of the eventual top 4. This year, the list is 20 deep.

2014 2nd and 3rd placers Sammy Kitwara and Dickson Chumba - both of whom set personal bests here a year ago - will be in the field to tackle Tokyo champ Endeshaw Negesse, Rotterdam champ Abera Kuma and '12 Boston champ Wesley Korir. The U.S. pros are led by 2:11 man Fernando Cabada and former Oregon star Luke Puskedra (61:36 half PR) as the headliners.

Women's race is lead by Lindsey Scherf and Maegan Krifchin.

Canada's Reid Coolsaet was 8th (44:33) as Fernando Cabada was the top American in 11th (45:13). Clara Santucci was the first American woman in 7th (51:59).

Other top men include Dathan Ritzenhein (running his first marathon since 2013), Nick Arciniaga (7th at Boston last year), Jeffrey Eggleston (8th at Boston last year) and Fernando Cabada (coming off a 2:11:36 PR in Berlin). Desiree Linden (10th last year) and Amy Hastings (5th in Chicago last year; Boston debut) join Flanagan in the women's field.
