Men's 800 Prelims: Look Out World, David Rudisha is "Almost Close" to His 2012 Form; Clayton Murphy Scrapes Through, Boris Berian Advances and 2012 Silver Medallist Nijel Amos Goes Home

Rudisha looked great, leading all qualifiers with his 1:45.09 as Murphy ran 1:46.18 behind him but only made the semis on time. Amos faded badly and was only seventh in his heat in 1:50.46 while American Charles Jock (6th in heat 4) was also among the casualties.

Charles Jock ran 1:14.92 in the 600m to beat out Cas Loxsom (1:14.96), Eliud Rutto and Harun AbdaSarah Vaughn won the 1500 in 4:11.39 from Cory McGee.

KBC Nacht Meeting: Ben True Gets IAAF Standard As Eric Jenkins Explodes To A 13:07 And Lauren Johnson Destroys Her PR To Make Worlds On A Night Full Of Fast American Running

True ran 13:06 to seal the deal for worlds with Jenkins right behind him in a huge PR. Abbey D’Agostino PRd at 5000 as did Johnson to punch her ticket to worlds in the 1500. Other big names in action included Dejen Gebremeskel, Chris Derrick, Emily Sisson, Mary Cain, PVer Sandi Morris andLolo Jones. Check out how they did.

Georgetown alum Rachel Schneider got a solid PR to win the 1500 in 4:08.46 while Cory McGee was 3rd. Trinidad & Tobago's Michel Cedenio ran 44.97 to win comfortably over LaShawn Merritt (45.42); Jeremy Wariner was 9th (46.22).
