Two-time NXN champ Casey Clinger leads the boys race while the girls has the top-4 in the country headed by Taylor Roe (4:45) and NXN champ Brie Oakley.

For the first time ever, a boy repeated as NXN champ. Clinger is the individual champ once again but his dream of a perfect day that included both individual and team titles was denied.

No boy has ever won two NXN individual titles, but defending champ Casey Clinger could do just that on Saturday. He's also the top man on the nation's top team, American Fork, which will be looking to improve on its runner-up finish last year and win it all in Portland.

The high school season came to a close with a bang at Foot Lockers, Galen Rupp ran a really good half marathon at a holiday fun run, while the rest of the American pros congregated at the Dallas Marathon for the most impressive American starting line of the year. A holiday treat.
