RRW: Benson Kipruto (2:07:24) And Mimi Belete (2:22:29) Win Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon As Cam Levins Breaks The Canadian Record With A 2:09:25 Debut

Tanzania's Augustine Sulle was a close second in 2:07:46 while Levins was 4th and Jake Robertson 5th (2:09:52). Levins brok the 2:10:09 Canadian record which was set by Jerome Drayton nearly 43-years-ago. Belete broke the women's CR in a close race with defending champ Marta Megra (2:22:35).

2015 Pan American Junior Championships Results

Team USA cleaned up the distance events winning 9 of the 10 gold medals and 18-medals total. Sub-4 high schooler Matthew Maton won the 5000 in 14:20, closing in a 61-second last lap.

Results: 2015 American Track League - Atlanta

Andrew Wheating won the 1500 in 3:39.17 to beat David Torrence by .34-seconds. Canada's Nicole Sifuentes won the women's race in 4:06.44 as the Americans were way back and Maggie Vessey took the 800 in 2:00.30 over Melissa Bishop (2:00.43).

*Veronica Campbell-Brown Won The 100-200 Double ( 11.22 & 22.82) Other top sprint action included LaShawn Merritt in the 300 (31.53), Queen Harrison in the 100H (12.84), Steven Gardiner winning the 400 in 45.11 over a field that had Ashton Eaton, Jeremy Wariner, Deon Lendore and Mike Berry.

Resuls: 2015 Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome International Track Classic

Sarah Brown won the 1500 in 4:07.67, while Sheila Reid was 6th (4:11.38). Anthony Romaniw beat Harun Abda in the 800 with 1:47.95, and back in 7th and 1:49.72 was Andrew WheatingRoss Proudfoot won the 1500 (3:39.62) over Nate Brannen and Wallace Spearmon won the 200 in 20.77.

Can Reid Coolsaet Break the 40-Year-Old Canadian Marathon Record (2:10:09) in Rotterdam?

When Jerome Drayton ran 2:10:09 at the 1975 Fukuoka Marathon, it was the sixth-fastest time in history. Since then, that performance has been bettered 2,276 times, but never by a Canadian. We spoke to Coolsaet who explained how his training has gone and why the record has lasted so long.
