He Is the Greatest: The Incomparable Usain Bolt Wins 5th Global 100 Title As Justin Gatlin Can't Keep It Together in Final Meters

Bolt looked horrible after stumbling in the semis but he showed the resilience that makes him the Greatest of All Time by running 9.79 in the final to edge Gatlin by .01. Gatlin led most of the way but he couldn't hold his form once Bolt caught him in the final 10 meters and had to settle for silver.

Full Results From Lucerne, Switzerland: Lopez Lomong Takes Down Bernard Lagat In 3000 As Five Women Go Sub-2 In The 800

Lomong got the win in 7:42.19 to Lagat's 7:42.75. Andy Bayer was 6th (7:48.49). Switzerland's Selina Buchel took the 800 in 1:59.21, beating Chanelle Price by .03.

A ton of solid US distance performances. Some highlights include Will Leer winning the main 1500 in 3:34.26, Emma Coburn 4:05.29 in the 1500, Kenya's Olympic bronze medalist Timothy Kitum won the 800 in 1:43.65 as Elijah Greer was 4th in 1:44.91, Nicole Bush set a 10-second PR to win the steeple in 9:24. In the 5000 Augustine Choge won in 13:06 as Lawi Lalang was 3rd (13:11) and Chris Derrick was 5th (13:14).  Asafa Powell made his return to race with 10.15 for 2nd in the 100 behind US's Marvin Bracy (10.13).
