Jordan Hasay And Leonard Korir Win 2017 USATF 15K Road Championships At The Gate River Run

The 2017 USATF 15K Championships were this morning at the Gate River Run in Jacksonville, Florida. Leonard Korir and Jordan Hasay were the race winners in 43:22 and 49:28, respectively.

The men’s race was extremely close with Korir just beating out his fellow 10,000m Olympian Shadrack Kipchirchir by one second. Sam Chelanga was third (43:28), Stanley Kebenei fourth (43:29) and Olympic silver medalist Paul Chelimo rounded out the top five in 43:47.

On the women’s side, Hasay had a solid 14-second win over Emily Infeld (49:42) and Neely Gracey (49:47). Former US XC champ Laura Thweatt and Natosha Rogers were fourth and fifth.
