NOTE: Teenager Joshua Cheptegei, the world and African junior 10,000m champion, became the first Ugandan athlete to win this prestigious race.  In the women’s competition, Yenenesh Tilahun battled Jip Vastenburg to the line, with the Ethiopian just edging the Dutchwoman for the win.  Both were timed in 50:05 –Ed.
