Mary Cain to Open 2015 Outdoor Season in Women’s 1500 at Friday’s Oregon Relays

American teen sensation Mary Cain, who struggled by her lofty standards during the indoor season, will make her 2015 outdoor track debut at the 2015 Oregon Relays on Friday where she will run the women’s 1500. Her NOP teammate Treniere Moser will run in the women’s 800 on Saturday. It’s a low-key opening for both athletes who will be facing mainly collegiate competition.
In the men’s 1500, 2014 NCAA champ Mac Fleet will run as will former Duck AJ Acosta (wbo ran 13:35 at Stanford). Given those two names being in the field, it seems unlikely that Oregons Tanguy Pepiot will be celebrating early (he’s also in the 1500).
Superstars Eric Jenkins and Edward Cheserek are not entered.
