New York—More than 50,000 runners finished the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon for the second year in a row on Sunday, November 2—the biggest field ever at the event and the largest marathon in history, it was announced today by New York Road Runners President and CEO Mary Wittenberg.

* Due to high winds, the race distance of the Professional Wheelchair Division was adjusted to 23.2 miles after the start line was moved to the Brooklyn side of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge.
