Chris Kimbrough Shatters Women’s Beer Mile World Record With 6:28

With all the excitement surrounding the 2014 NYC Marathon, the fact that a world record was broken on Sunday went mostly overlooked. Running in what (based on the video) appears to have been fairly windy conditions, Austin, TX based runner Chris Kimrough ran 6:28.6 to set the beer mile world record. The previous mark was 6:42.0 by Seanna Robinson from 1997. Video of Kimrough’s run is below.
