In the men’s championship, No. 1 Florida and No. 2 Texas A&M — 2013 co-national champions — will once again compete for the team title. The Aggies bested the Gators in the SEC Men’s Championship, setting up a showdown in Eugene. However, both teams will be chased by No. 3 Oregon. Individually, Arizona senior Lawi Lalang and Oregon freshman Edward Cheserek will continue their rivalry in the 5,000m, an anticipated showdown. Also, Florida State senior Dentarius Locke looks to capture the 100m crown, defending his current fastest time in the country.

In the women’s championship, No. 1 Texas will be challenged by No. 2 Florida, No. 3 Oregon and No. 4 Texas A&M. Oregon senior Phyllis Francis will be a vital component for the Ducks, as she competes in the 400m, 4×1 and 4×4 relay. Individually, Dartmouth senior Abbey D’Agostino competes for final time as a student-athlete as she defends her 5,000m title.

The competing student-athletes are highlighted by 10 past Olympians, including Mohammed Ahmed (Wisconsin), Aaron Brown (USC), Wayne Davis II (Texas A&M), Raymond Higgs (Arkansas), Shalaya Kipp (Colorado), Julie Labonte (Arizona), Deon Lendore (Texas A&M), Errol Nolan (Houston), Stephen Saenz (Auburn) and Greggmar Swift (Indiana).
