2014 Payton Jordan Mid-D Action: Elise Cranny’s #2 All-Time 4:10.95 1500 Highlights

Women’s 1500: Oiselle’s Kate Grace Wins In 4:07.35; Elise Cranny Is Second Fastest High Schooler All-Time With 4:10.95

With the focus of the night being on the record breaking performances in the longer distance events, the mid-d events may have gone overlooked. However, please do not overlook the women’s 1500 which was won in convincing fashion by Oiselle’s Kate Grace in 4:07.35 as it had the second fastest high schooler of all-time in Elise Cranny at 4:10.95.

Cranny blew Jordan Hasay‘s previous #2 time of 4:14.50 from 2008 out of the water and now only Mary Cain’s national high school record of 4:04.62 is faster.

The 4:07:35 win is a small pb for Grace (4:07:40 pb last year) but more importantly a good sign that her move to Oregon from the NJ/NY Track Club is going well.
