Deena Kastor Sets US Half Marathon Masters Record – Runs 71:38

Weeks after coming up just short, American Deena Kastor now holds the US women’s masters mark in the half marathon. Yesterday in Central Park, Kastor ran 71:38 to win the More Fitness/Fitness Magazine Women’s Half Marathon. Kastor eclipsed Colleen De Reuck‘s previous mark of 71:50.

Three weeks ago in Dallas, Kastor had run 71:57 under windy conditions at the Rock ‘N’ Roll Dallas Half Marathon.
