Deena Kasto, 9th place, and Dot McMahan, 18th place, led the American women in Moscow Russa at the 2013 World Championship marathon.

Deena Kastor Said Her Goal was Top 5, She Thought of Quitting Multiple Times, and Struggled Starting at 5k The 40 year old also indicated this may have been the last competitive marathon of her career.

Dot McMahan After 18th Place Finish at 2013 World Championship’s
Dot’s goal was top 20 and she accomplished it. The US 25k champ says she has no pans to hang them up as long as she thinks she can improve.
