Jordan Hasay joins Nike Oregon Project

The University of Oregon’s most decorated female athlete, Jordan Hasay, today announced that she has joined the Nike Oregon Project and will be coached by Alberto Salazar.  The 21 year old distance runner finished an exceptional collegiate career with 18 All-America awards, two NCAA Indoor titles (Mile & 3000m 2011), three 3rd place finishes at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (5000m 2013, 1500m 2012, 1500, 2010) and three top 3 performances at the NCAA Cross Country Championships (2nd 2011, 3rd2012, 3rd 2010).  Jordan won the silver medal in the IAAF World Youth T&F Championships in the 1500m in 2007 and placed 4th in the 2008 and 2010 IAAF World Junior TF Championships.

Under the guidance of Alberto Salazar and his coaching team the Nike Oregon Project has been extremely successful in the past few years with Mo Farah winning the 2012 Olympic Games distance double and training partner Galen Rupp winning Olympic 10,000m silver.   The group also includes 2011 World Championships 1500m bronze medallist Matthew Centrowitz who placed 4th in the Olympic Games.

Jordan will be managed by Ricky Simms and PACE Sports Management, the London based management company who represents the likes of Olympic & World Champions Usain Bolt, Mo Farah, Vivian Cheruiyot and Christine Ohuruogu.
