Based on top 10 average RAK half marathon is the fastest half marathon in the world. 
The top10 average is 59:04.36,   
 
Best mark for third place, 58:55, was set by Geoffrey Mutai at RAK half marathon. 
Previous best third place was 59:05
 
Thus for the first time in history, three runners have broke 59 min in a single race. 
Previous high was two in 2011 Philadelphia half and 2009 RAK half 
 
Stanley Biwott ran the fastest half marathon as 26 years old, 58:54, in RAK
 
Geoffrey Mutai ran the fastest half marathon as 31 years old, 58:55, in RAK
 
 
Women
 
Based on top 10 average RAK half marathon is the fastest in the world on the women’s side as well. 
The top 10 average is 1:06:43
 
Priscah Jeptoo, Meseret Hailu Debele, and Helah Kiprop became 58th, 59th and 60th runner 
to crack 1:08 for the half marathon
 
Meseret Hailu Debele set ETH national half marathon record of 1:06:55 at RAK Half Marathon 
 
Best marks for place for position 2nd to 11th for the half marathon were set at RAK Half marathon in the women race
 
For the first time in history, four runners cracked 67 min in a single race
Previous high was two in Lisbon half in 2001 and World half in Udine in 2007
 
For the first time in history, six runners cracked 68 min in a single race. 
Previous high was five in 2010 RAK half marathon 
 
For the first time in history, ten runners cracked 69 min in a single race. 
 
Meseret Hailu ran the fastest half marathon as 22 years old, 1:06:55, in RAK
 
Lucy Kabuu ran the fastest half marathon as 28 years old, 1:06:07, in RAK 
Priscah Jeptoo ran the second fastest half marathon as 28 years old, 1:06:10, in RAK 
 
Rita Jeptoo ran the fastest half marathon as 32 years old, 1:06:26, in RAK
