How does somebody listen to an audiobook? I’m not saying that I think it’s stupid, but I couldn’t possibly take in everything by hearing as opposed to reading.
I've listened to a few during long drives. Definitely not the same experience as properly reading the book, but better than listening to top 40 music or talk radio.
It's not the same experience, I agree. Sometimes audiobooks are a much better experience, especially if the author is reading himself or there is a little added production quality to the audiobook. Also when the narrator does a good job with dialogue in a good novel. I love it.
