Nah, I think marathon to 5k equivalent conversions are pretty dubious. Just loose correlations. They take different training, different types of fitness, and reward different kinds of talent. No doubt the longevity of Kipchoge's excellence is impressive, but asking whether he's better or worse than before is comparing apples and oranges.

Plus, I don't think anyone doubts that it's possible for distance runners to get better into their 30's, do they? Especially marathoners.
