If backs make up 13% should they make up more than 13% of the hires?
Blacks are 50% of the sport in America in major DI and at the highest levels of the sport for several generations. At the NCAA Championships and USATF Nationals it's mostly black. At the USATF and AAU Jr. Olympic nationals it's about 80% black. The coaches should reflect that.
Would be interesting to see the stats on non-distance coaching positions. Unless we want to pretend that distance athletes are not mostly white kids with the occasional east-african sprinkled in there (who generally aren't going to stick around to coach). I would assume the numbers are somewhat skewed by the abundance of distance positions/distance-only schools?
