The guy reminds me of Kevin Young. He just steps over the hurdles effortlessly while the others look like they are putting more effort into it and occasionally 12 steps between the hurdles. His height has to help him in this event. Generational talent.
Benjamin is the most athletic 400 meter hurdler I've ever seen. It really looks unfair out there. The other guys may have great stretches of peak performances but Rai Benjamin is like a Barry Sanders talent out there. He can glide and high step and vary his footwork wonderfully approaching a hurdle, then seemingly defy gravity and plant both feet quickly leaving a hurdle for maximum velocity toward the next barrier. Simply breathtaking.
Edwin Moses was a remarkably consistent and dedicated metronome. Kevin Young had similar frame to Benjamin and had a couple of dominant seasons. But neither of them owned the high stepping freakish loose legged gifts of Rai Benjamin.
