RE: Is there a paw back in right sprinting technique
From what I understand your feet/ lower legs should be moving back (paw back) before they touch the ground. This minimizes the eccentric strain on the hamstring and also initiates drive and minimizes braking. If you plant, then start the paw back or drive faze you are losing energy. If you look at Michael Johnson for example and watch his feet you can see they are pawing back before they touch the ground.
