Most of the SEC teams are going to put scholarship money into sprints/hurdles, jumps, and throws.
That being said...A&M is pretty good about walk-on spots and you will likely get a lot of racing opportunities as they host several home XC and indoor meets. Scholarship money would be hard to come by from an athletic standpoint, though.
It doesn't need to be an SEC school but I would like to keep the cost below $20,000 a year. I don't know too much about A&M but I don't think they have a lot of big academic scholarships.
