I have read the entire thread and I see no conclusive proof. Just alot of weirdos with theories and accusations.
When claiming any kind of athletic achievement, it's incumbent upon the person claiming the feat to have proof that they ran the full distance. That's why we have course certification rules, rules about how races can be timed, etc.
Unfortunately in the ultra running community there seems to be an emphasis on "feats" which are involve some kind of story about a personal journey (and therefore not subject to rules and verification). And that's OK, but until there are rules and a ratification process that the larger community trusts, it never really makes the transition from being a "story" to a verified accomplishment (especially when it's the case that we have reason to doubt the storytellers fidelity to the truth to begin with)[/quote]
I fully understand that and I get the concern over times etc
But the rest of it us just plain odd and borderline obsessive/stalking. Even the video is a joke and it's clear it is RY.
