I think that it does state that he does his weight lifting on his track days. He is certainly not putting in distance running type of mileage but perhaps there is a reason that he does so. I think Bryan Clay does this also at least at times. Maybe I need to see what Ashton Eaton is doing since he is the runner of these decathletes. I've not had problems with as many days of soreness as was mentioned above but I do know that I need at least 2 full days in between and before my next workout.
