Subject: Scheduling Lower Body Strength Training
Trying to work in some weight training.
Running workouts are almost always on Tuesday and Saturday. Thinking of lower body training on Wednesday and Saturday as I don't have time to get in the total mileage on Tuesday plus the weights. Doing them the next day on Wednesday would allow 2 full days before Saturday. On Saturdays I can then get both in and bunch the stresses together and also have more time to recover on the weekend, and thereby giving me another 2 full days before the next Tuesday running workout. Wednesday lower body would probably be more deadlift based as it doesn't affect my legs as much prior to Saturdays which are usually harder run sessions or races. Definitely low-rep and higher weight sets closer to 2 sets of 5 reps, etc.
