You are reporting the following post to the moderators for review and possible removal from the forum Poster: bored Subject: RE: Could any pro athlete in the big sports beat Aston Eaton in any event in the decathlon? Body: Pretty good post. The top deca guys develop a skill set for their sport that combined with their athetism make them the best at what they do. The top basketball players develop a different set of skils for their sport. People underestimate the skill set of basketball players. I have seen plenty of great athletes never become that good of basketball players. They can jump high and are quick but aren't skilled enough to be good players. There are a lot of top sprinters who never do much in football. I have seen plenty of Calif state champions in the sprints try to become football players in college and not develop into that good of players while they could have been great track athletes. Heck, Quincy Watts tried to play football one year and then had a great Olympics in the 400. He was smart to get out of football. He didn't have the skill set since he never played in high school. With that said, I think Eaton would be able to beat a football team that trained for 3 months in a deca as speculated. Hit the submit button below if you want us to review the post.
