Yea you didn't make the Olympic team, but you're healthy and happily training near home with a new coach and with a new young star who looks up to your every move. You've run 3:37 which is not the time you wanted but something you were happy with two years ago to just be in that range again. You've had some good workouts, they will all come into place even if it takes another year. You've lost weight, your form looks great, and you've had a good block of training, and now a kid to look forward to. Maybe take the rest of the year off to have some fun being a dad, but you still have a few years of running left in you. Don't forget you also had that sick 1500-5000m double this season too. You'll get some fast times again next year after finally having a full year of training this year
