Body: I don't think most teachers think it's IMPOSSIBLE to evaluate how they perform, just difficult. A lot of the commonly used methods are virtually worthless: student evaluations are a joke, teacher observations don't work, standardized testing wastes valuable class time, is expensive, and also doesn't work. Any performance evaluation would need to be intelligently implemented, and I think we all know that that won't happen if it's forced in by politicians who don't have a clue.
