He's the class of the field as he is 1 sec faster than the second seed. He's listed as a Canadian. I wonder if that means anything? He really should be in Victoria, racing in the NTl tonight, which is much stronger. West is also listed in this weekend's race in the American Milers series. He's over half a second faster than the second seed, the junior McBride. Although this is great for McBride, I don't think that this is really good for West's Olympic aspirations.
