You are reporting the following post to the moderators for review and possible removal from the forum Poster: Old intern Subject: RE: USOC Internship Body: I was a USOC intern at the Training Center in Colorado Springs a number of years ago, and I really enjoyed it. It depends on what your particular placement is though. I had a great intern experience in a great department. However, there were a few interns that I lived with in the dorm though that were glorified copy boys and girls. I guess it was still good for the resume nonetheless for those people. It is a very good networking opportunity as well...much of the networking is in Olympic Sports with NGB's and stuff, but there are some event opportunities and other opportunities that can be parlayed. The Training Center is a pretty neat facility to work and live in for the summer (dorms/food are nothing special though, but fine), and there is a nice bond and esprit de corps built with the other interns that makes for a fun summer experience. As far as being away for the whole summer...yeah, that is tough if you don't live near CO...you are very busy. 4th of July is your only day off not counting weekends and sometimes, you may have to work an event on weekends as well...so yeah, if you don't think you can swing being away all summer, don't do it.
