As a bet this sprinter at our track club had to race a mile and an 800m runner had to race a 200m

800 guy ran 23 high and sprinter ran a 4:29 mile. I thought this was pretty average for the 800 guy and incredible for the sprinter. this dude has never raced over 200m in his life and jogs a lap to warmup for practice.

am I just being optimistic or is this really good?

If that is true then put him in an 800m race. With sprinter speed and that kind of strength he could be a great 4/8 or 8/15 guy.
