Yesterday I ran a personal worst for 5 km in 24:51, and really don't mind it, since I was able to run it non-stop, two days after hurting my hamstring. I jammed the hammy into a handle on a quad machine at the gym when I stepped off it incorrectly! Talk about a dumb injury! Apparently, I mostly got a major cramp in it, but it was enough to make me walk the last 1/2 mile home the night before the race.

The race itself was hot and humid and hilly, but with it being the Kansas City Corporate Challenge, you run for the team. Would you believe that placed me 425th among men! TALK about competitive, 9th among 60-64.

Getting through it without further injury, or as we say here at home "Just to Run", is a good thing.
