You are reporting the following post to the moderators for review and possible removal from the forum Poster: swerve Subject: Excessive pounding but only with track spikes Body: I'm a young male runner of pretty slender build (5'9 120 lbs.) with a moderate heel strike. For some reason whenever I run with track spikes on a track I pound A LOT. In races, my coaches and teammates can hear my feet pounding and it's very noticeable to me too. I have no idea why this happens with only track spikes. In trainers I'm relatively quiet unless I'm getting fatigued (i.e. long run or tempo). Any advice/help/suggestions? I've worn Nike Victories and I currently wear Saucony Endorphin LD3's. I also have a very high arch. Hit the submit button below if you want us to review the post.
