Subject: RE: Do these numbers indicate underacive thyroid?
Body:

the t4 range is roughly 0.5 - 4.0. You are not hypnothyroid according to your t4 number and would be taking a huge risk by starting meds for it.

I have had hypothyroid probably since I was a teenager but wasn't diagnosed until I was in my 30's. My highest t4 was 196! I was running 70 miles a week, gaining weight, loosing my hairIt and couldn't keep my head up I was so tired. It took a few years to get regulated and I am currently using Armour (natural) thyroid which is way better than the synthetic stuff (for me).

Anyone who takes thyroid meds to enhance performance is crazy! There is such a risk of getting a heart attack as most likely you will go into hyperthyroid. So risky and not worth it.

Something else is wrong with you and it would be best to seek out a competent doctor that is going to look into all options. Unfortunately for me when I was in high school, 80's, doctors didn't test males for thyroid disorder as it was seen as a middle aged woman's disease.
